This Little Simple Trick Can
Increase Your Pre-Sell Review Articles & Website Profits
HaveYOU ever
seen a review that starts off something like this:
“THIS (INSERT WIDGET HERE) IS SUPER
AWESOME! LET ME TELL YOU WHY…!”
I know. Me too -- back in the 50’s when it was okay doing it
and people didn’t know any better. A lot of the stuff we take for granted today was revolutionary back then
so, you could get away with it back then…and legally.
But today…those wild and crazy claims wouldn’t stick to
glue.
Even the most perfect product in the world has faults and
blemishes and, concealing them to gain more sales is the fastest way to get an equal amount of returns and
turn people away buying from you -- forever.
Okay, you might be asking, “If that’s the case, then how do
I avoid selling hype and increase sales at the same time WITHOUT turning people away from the product?”
Glad you asked. Here’s a little trick I learned to increase
your sales:
Instead of talking about ALL the positives and benefits of the products, add
“negatives”
In your pre-sell articles and websites by admitting 1 or 2
things (mistakes, flaws, etc) -- for example:
"This is no quick fix, and will require some work" OR "there are some things you should know" -- something
like that. Why?
Because, if a review does nothing more, but rave about a
product with an affiliate link conveniently placed at the bottom, almost as quick as you would lose breath if
someone punched you in the stomach, you’ll lose your readers just as quickly.
Do you follow me so far? Good. Just for kicks, here’s
another example of a “negative” or damaging admission that turns what sounds like work into an
opportunity:
"You can learn to play guitar over a weekend, but you WILL have to put in a few hours playing
along with the lessons...."
Try putting yourself in your customer’s shoes. If
YOU were looking for a reliable source of information to help
you with choosing a widget best for you, would you trust someone who talked nothingBUT the positives and no potential drawbacks?
I seriously doubt it. So, don’t expect the same from
YOUR potential buyers when writing your pre-sell review
articles and websites.
