Yet a lot of the best features available on LinkedIn are ignored or simply overlooked.  That is why I have compiled this list of tips that will help get your profile as much as exposure as possible. 


If you’ve got It, Flaunt It 

If you have work experience, tell everyone about it.  You should focus as much attention as possible on creating your online resume.  Remember, this will represent who you are and what you can do.  The simplest way to advertise effectively is to improve your profile page. If you have some great photos or your business, or of you completing a job-specific task, add them!  You can simply click the ‘add photo’ link.  But don’t stop there. You can also add up to three links that relate to your business.  These could be your company website, blogs, or lead capture pages. 


LinkedIn Recommendations 

There is an additional feature that allows you to request recommendations from people who have used your products or services.  These are then presented on your profile page as testimonials.  Just click the ‘ask for recommendations’ link and this will be set up.  Everyone wants to know if your business or products are legitimate, what better way to prove it than with some awesome reviews! 


Flex Your Brain 

Also, if you click on the ‘more’ tab, you will see that option called ‘answers.’  This easy to use function allows you to search for questions that others have asked and answer them.  This is a fast and easy way to prove your authority and build credibility within LinkedIn. 


Using Direct-Ads 

If you are looking for a way to actually place your business ads on related LinkedIn pages, then you are looking for Direct-Ads.  Note: Direct-Ads is a form of paid advertising.  You can start using Direct-Ads by clicking ‘advertise on LinkedIn’ on your home menu.  The cost of this type of advertising can add up really quickly.  Depending on what type of exposure you are trying to gain it can run anywhere from $10 to $1000 every day!
